In October 2000 Karin Bos participated in Triangle Artists Workshop at the World Trade Center in New York. Twenty-four painters and sculptors from eleven countries worked on the 91st floor. Their studios were open to encourage dialogue and critics made studio visits. During the exhibition Karin Bos presented ‘18 gouaches’ and a proposal for an artwork she made afterwards called ‘Behind the stars’. It was the starting point for many more exhibitions and stays in the USA.
In oktober 2000 heeft Karin Bos deelgenomen aan Triangle Artists Workshop in het World Trade Center in New York. Vierentwintig schilders en beeldhouwers uit elf landen werkten er op de 91ste verdieping. De ateliers waren open om uitwisseling te bevorderen en werden door kunstcritici bezocht. Op de afsluitende tentoonstelling presenteerde Karin Bos ‘18 gouaches’ en een voorstel voor een werk dat ze later verder uitgewerkt heeft, getiteld ‘Behind the stars’. Het was het startpunt voor meerdere tentoonstellingen en verblijven in de Verenigde Staten.
