On August 30 2024 at 5 pm a group show opens with the results of the artist in residency week at Studio 1931, welcome!
In the spring of 2024 Karin Bos went to the USA for a roadtrip which is resulting in a new series of work titled America the Beautiful.
Moving Up
Karin Bos has moved one floor up to a larger art studio. The postal address is still the same. To visit the studio you are welcome to contact the artist to make an appointment.
Latest news is that in the winter of 2024/25 the lease will end, so another artist studio will be needed! Preferably in Amsterdam North.
Don’t hesitate to contact the artist if you have any tips. The golden tip will be rewarded with an art work.
The weekend of november 18 and 19th in 2023 there’s an informal open artist studio from 12 to 17 hours and you are very welcome to drop by for a sneak peek of the latest works inspired by the artist-in-residency projects. Location: Quellijnstraat 92 Amsterdam (at Heinekensquare).
Artist-in-residencies
In the fall of 2023 Karin Bos went back to Spain for 2 months to paint, hike, meet and lots of inspiration. Her painting studios were located in Asturias and the Spanish Pyrenees. The series Karin Bos made in Spain are purchased by the AKZO Art Foundation in 2023.
During spring 2022 Karin Bos travelled through Spain, to paint, to hike, to be inspired. She went from lush green Galicia where she painted outdoors at The Foundry interrupted by rain showers to heatwaves forest fires and shortage of water at Pueblos En Arte in Aragon, as well as the amazing Picos de Europa and the Pyrenees.
Zona Caliente
In the spring of 2023 Karin Bos went to La Palma to hike on the volcanos to produce new work. Siepko Wenning wrote an article about it: ´Het weemoedige La Palma van Karin Bos‘.
The painting Into the woods 2 is now part of Bravis Art Collection Roosendaal.
